Services Under EQ Qual
The Company’s Equipment Qualification (EQ) Services for Nuclear Power Plant Equipment services include, but are not limited to, the following qualification activities:
Seismic Qualification:
Qualification of equipment for Operating Basis Earthquake (OBE) and Safe Shutdown Earthquake (SSE) conditions using testing, analysis, similarity, or combined approaches, in line with IEEE, IEC, ASME, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Radiation Aging Qualification:
Evaluation of equipment resistance to gamma radiation exposure over its qualified life, including total integrated dose (TID) assessment, radiation aging tests, and post-irradiation functional verification.
Thermal Aging Qualification:
Assessment of long-term and short-term thermal aging effects on materials and components through accelerated aging methods, Arrhenius modeling, and functional testing to establish qualified life.
Environmental Aging (Combined Aging):
Integrated aging evaluations considering the cumulative effects of temperature, radiation, humidity, and time, ensuring continued operability under design-basis conditions.
EMI/RFI Qualification:
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) testing and evaluation to demonstrate equipment immunity and emissions compliance, ensuring reliable operation in high-EM environments typical of nuclear facilities.
The Company supports the full EQ lifecycle, including qualification planning, test program definition, coordination with accredited laboratories, data evaluation, qualification report preparation, and regulatory support for licensing, audits, and plant modifications.
